WorkPlace Partners, Inc. celebrates 10 years of providing human resource consulting services to employers. The year 2008 marks the 10th anniversary for WorkPlace Partners, Inc. The Company was founded in 1998 by Ann B. Plunkett, an employment attorney and human resource expert, and has been providing human resource consulting, expert witness services, training programs and other services to employers nationwide. Plunkett, President of WorkPlace Partners, Inc. has been named Chair of the Board of The Wellness Community of Greater St. Louis. Ann has been an active volunteer with the organization for the past 8 years, serving on the human resources committee and in various other capacities. She regularly counsels cancer patients and their families about handling employment related concerns. The Wellness Community is a national not-for-profit organization whose mission is to help people living with cancer and their loved ones enhance health and well being by providing a professional program of emotional support, education and hope. All programs are completely free of charge and offered in a comfortable home-like environment. The Wellness Community of Greater St. Louis was founded by Peggy Michelson, Marsha Wolff and Tina Borchert. In 1988, oncologist Dr. Peter Weiss became involved. In 1991 business leaders and medical professionals met with Harold Benjamin, PhD, the national founder of The Wellness Community. With the help of over 2000 volunteers and more than 100 St. Louis businesses, TWC - STL opened its doors to cancer patients and their loved ones in June, 1993. There are over 20 Wellness Communities in operation around the country, with several in development. The Wellness Community recently relocated to a new home in Des Peres, near the intersection of 1-270 and Manchester Road in Des Peres Professional Plaza. Jennifer Dawn Mumm has been named Project Manager at WorkPlace Partners, Inc. Ms. Mumm’s responsibilities include management of the WorkPlace Partners e-learning program development and national marketing campaign. Before joining WorkPlace Partners, Dawn was employed by The May Department Stores Company for 12 years where she worked in a number of positions in the legal, human resources and customer service areas. Plunkett Terri LaBriola Accepts Woodland Healthcare Position Terri LaBriola has been named
Human Resource Director for Woodland Healthcare, Sacramento, California. Woodland Healthcare is part of the Catholic Healthcare West system, one of the country’s largest. Prior to accepting this position, LaBriola was a principal of WorkPlace Partners, Inc.
As part of the senior leadership team at Woodland Healthcare, LaBriola is responsible for the human resource and education functions. Her responsibilities include recruitment, benefits, compensation, employee relations, labor relations and staff and organizational development.
Before joining WorkPlace Partners, LaBriola was a regional vice-president – human resources for SSM Health Care, responsible for the HR function for SSM’s St. Louis integrated health care delivery system comprised of seven hospitals, 150 fully aligned physicians in three medical groups and a managed care organization. “I am delighted that Terri has accepted this significant position with a client company. We will miss her in St. Louis, but look forward to a continuing business relationship” said Plunkett.
